Methods of refrigeration The process of Refrigeration is simply eliminating heat and maintaining a low temperature either from an enclosed space or thing. Refrigeration is primarily used to substantially decrease temperatures anywhere. Air conditioning and air cooling are synonymously used with refrigeration and is any method where heat is driven away. Initially refrigeration is born with the concept that rather than addition of more coldness, it is wise to remove heat, which culminates in chilly temperatures automatically. According to the second law of thermodynamics, work must be done to accomplish this. Mechanical work, Laser and magnetism are the means of this. To dispel heat, three methods namely convection, conduction and radiation are used in refrigeration. Air conditioning Refrigerator (popular as FRIDGE) is a device or an appliance consisting a thermally insulated room and a methodology to drive out heat from the appliance to the external environment, there by cooling the contents in the appliance to a temperature below normal or ambient. Refrigerators are widely used to store foods which are spoiled at normal temperatures. Bacteria and other food spoiling organisms can’t survive below a certain degree of temperature. A typical fridge contains two compartments, one where the temperature is above the freezing point of water and the second where the temperature is below the freezing point and is known as FREEZER. Before fridges, iceboxes were traditionally used to store food, meat, and fruits.
