Wedding Planning For The Brides To Be

By: Melissa E Cruz

It is usually the brides who are heavily involved in planning their wedding. This is because women are more particular about planning and making sure everything goes according to plan. Planning a big event such as a wedding is never easy thus it can be a stressful time. However, it can be fun and exciting as well as the feeling of accomplish ness after the event as you are involved in making the most important day of your life a successful event.
Planning a wedding in its entirety is very complicated with all the details that you have to remember. We could divide the planning into two parts so have a detailed view of the aspects that you have to attend to. The first part is the wedding ceremony planning and the second part is the wedding reception planning. For practical reasons, some couples tend to hold the wedding ceremony and wedding reception in a single venue-less hassle for the people involved and less cost for all the decorations.
Wedding Ceremony Planning
The Venue and Time
Choosing the wedding ceremony venue is one of the first things that you have to determine. Will it be an indoor or outdoor wedding? Will it be in the city or in the province? If it’s indoor, will it be in a hotel function room or in the church? If it’s outdoor, will it be at the beach or in an abundant garden? Is the venue accessible to your guests? What time will the wedding be, morning, noon or evening? In deciding where the venue is and when the ceremony will take place, consider your guests- the availability of the majority and the accessibility of the place.
Venue Decorations
Regardless if you are going to have an indoor wedding in a church or an outdoor wedding by the seaside, wedding venue decorations are essential to keep the spirit alive and romantic. Flower arrangements will always be present. Popular wedding flowers are daisies, roses, calla lilies and tulips. If you are on a budget and want to be sure that the flowers will look fresh and alive for a long time, go for silk wedding flowers. Make your walk down the aisle stylish and dramatic by having an aisle runner. It’s your choice if you want to keep it simple or personalized. Another decoration that should not go missing is the wedding arch. It’s very symbolic for it speaks of your union with your spouse. Dress the arch with flowers, tulle and ribbons to create the perfect frame for taking your wedding pictures. Lastly, decorate the church pews or chairs with bows, ribbons and tulle. You don’t want your guests to seat on boring monobloc plastic chairs.
Wedding Ceremony Accessories
Wedding unity candles, ring pillow, guest book and flower girl basket are examples of wedding accessories. Wedding unity candles are a must among some couples. However, there are couples who do not wish to have the lighting of candles as part of their ceremony. There is a significant meaning behind this tradition and it actually signifies the couples giving light to each other’s lives as well as the beginning of a life shared together. This wedding accessory can be personalized according to the theme of the wedding.
Visitors and Invitations
Do you want to invite everybody in town or do you want to keep the wedding intimate with only family and several close friends around? Of course, you have to consider your allotted budget because you wouldn’t want to starve your guests or make them dissatisfied with the food you will serve. Once the number is all figured out, think of the wedding invitations that will best reflect the wedding theme and your personality. Then send them all out!

Wedding Reception Planning
The next phase of the event after the ceremony is of course the reception. This is when your guests and you will get to celebrate and enjoy the event. You must plan it well so that it turns in fantastic event and a welcoming one so your guests can enjoy themselves while chatting and catching up with acquaintances.
Food and Drinks
Serve delightfully satisfying food. Have a tried and tested caterer. Discuss with your caterer the food items that you want to have. Don’t forget your vegetarian guests, have something for them too. Ask your caterer if there are food items that are best to serve with the kind of wedding theme you have. Provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for all your guests and make sure you don’t run out of them.
Music
Make your choices of music diverse. By doing this, you are sure to tackle all your guests as they will comprise of many people with different taste in music. Decide on whether you want to have a DJ or a band.
Wedding Cake
Wow your guests with the wedding cake design and what is on top of it. Instead of the traditional porcelain figurines, have the elegant monogram cake topper. Have your initials on top of the cake using acrylic.
There may seem like a lot to be taken care of here but actually, there’s more! Don’t worry because no matter what you do or haw bad things look like, they will always turn out OK in the end. Just relax and have fun planning your dream wedding!
