The only devices or resources you must have for a shaped and scented candle would be a candle mold prepared from plaster, silicon rubber or metal; paraffin wax; polyethylene; wick for the candle-which can be prepared from cotton; a stove; a double-boiler-type pot; storage racks; technical dye-the tint should be oil soluble; essential oil-which can be organic or synthetic; lab thermometer; wick container prepared from a bamboo stick; stirrer –preferably from bamboo or lumber; weighing scale with a 10kl capability; scissors; and a big cutter.

The procedure is exceptionally simple, even for beginners. You have to initially set-up the actual mold. Make sure the mold you are using has a wider opening than its bottom. This allows you to get the candle out without difficulty. You would then set-up the candle wick. You have to regulate the definite size of the wick with the candle’s diameter and the candles’ substance.

The next step would be to melt the tangible wax. You can weigh about 90 parts to about 10 parts of polyethylene wax. Place this concoction inside the double boiler. On no account should you melt the wax in straight heat for the reason that it is extremely inflammable. It is best if your work area is well-ventilated.

Go on warming up the concoction until all of it has softened and blended fully. Subsequent to this, allow it to cool down to about70°C. You can then add the tint and your preferred scent for your candle. Stir al of it again completely.

The last steps would be to place the wax concoction inside your preferred mold. Make sure there is some room by the upper edge. You have to afterwards place in the wick inside the mold. It should be placed in the center. Insert the wick’s other end around your bamboo stick. This will grasp your candle’s wick in place as the wax cools down.

Once the wax has cooled, you can remove your scented candle. If you meet problems descending your candle out of the mold, submerge it for less than a minute in hot water. Placing the candle in hot water allows the outer portion of the candle to melt. Get your candle out. Do again the procedure if you wish to make more scented candles.
