Casio Digital Camera - EX-S10 The World's Slimmest Digital Camera

By: Reagan Senoron

Casio Digital Camera - introducing the world's slimmest 10 megapixels camera today in the form of the EXILIM EX-S10. This latest "Wearable Card Camera" boasts a 3x optical zoom and the usual accompaniment of Casio scene modes including YouTube Capture Mode. A 2.7"screen fills the back of the device and a shutter release control assures camera shake has subsided before taking a picture. You may also set smile detection and have the shutter trip based on the aspect of your subject's grin.

Casio's EXILIM series was born with the phenomenon in 2002 of a "wearable card camera" — a digital camera with a very slim form. The new EXILIM EX-S10 asserts all of the powerful functionality of the cameras that were later manufactured in that line (zoom functionality, high pixel count, photo uses, LCD monitor, etc.) but it also embodies a return to a fashionable thin form and a great design presence.

3x optical zoom lens and 10.1 million effective pixels

This new camera's thinner, small body was made possible without sacrificing high resolution image quality employing a newly developed LCD. Its high resolution images can be used to make beautiful prints even when enlarged or when the image is cropped.

Thin form with a neat design

The camera's fashionable body, measuring 94.2 mm wide, 54.6 mm high and 15.0 mm thick (13.8 mm at the thinnest portion) is the product of Casio's stern pursuit of thinness. It is marked according to two design requirements — a unique finish derived from its coloring and a high quality sense made by the stainless steel body. It comes in four variants of colors — blue, red, black, and silver.

iTunes-compatible H.264 video

It uses the H.264 video standard which utilizes the AAC audio codec widely enjoyed in Apple's iPod, etc. It is also possible to record movies in an appealing wide format. The camera also has a Movie Button which makes movie recording easy.

2.7-inch wide and bright LCD offers high contrast

It integrates Casio's newly manufactured Super Clear LCD. Thanks to its high contrast ratio and its 230x160 dot high resolution, it produces intensely sharp and vivid images. The display can be looked at easily from above, below, left or right thanks to its wide viewing angle and it is easy to see even in daylight with its intensely bright LCD.

Auto shutter function automatically registers the moment of a smile or the minute when hand shake stops

The Casio digital camera Exilim EX-S10 can automatically take a photo at the minute when hand shake or subject movement stops using motion blur detection technology. Users can also automatically register the moment of a smile the minute when subject movement due to panning stops, or the minute when their own face occupies the frame as they point the camera towards themselves.
