Step 3. Freewrite.

You have become a free lancer but in writing lingo you can start free writing now. You can write about anything that you want. Write personally, your children,or that trip that you're planning.

The point here is to create a link between your brain to your hand to your keyboard or to your pen. Write whatever comes to mind and eventually an article idea will come out that you've been searching for frantically.

The use of this exercise will allow your creative side of your mind to be released from the bonds of mediocrity. You will write about any subjects that come to mind.

In this exercise you are going to write down the word "computer". For 5 minutes write complementary words associated with the word computer.

I mean any and all subjects that you can come up that are connected or that you've seen on your computer.Make sure that you write one word assocations for the word without hesitating.

At the end of the 5 minute session go over the subjects and highlight the most relevant subject that you want to write about and you are on you way to beating the writing block blues.
